Introducing a new membership type, the “Associate” member, for those living in the home that are not covered by the current definitions.
Associate memberships will include anyone living at the same address including roommates, live in nannies, grandchildren, and nieces/nephews.
Associate Memberships will cost $100/card per year and will be reviewed and renewed annually.
Homeowners must approve any Associate card and are ultimately responsible for any violations caused by their associate member in accordance with LBHA's rules and regulations.
Associate members must prove they live in the household with government issued photo ID; there will be a limit of 3 Associate cards per household; associate members’ guests will go towards the household total limit of 10/day; Associate Members will be allowed 2 guests per day.
This is a trial, the board reserves the right to review and make changes at the board’s discretion at any time.
Exclusions: Secondary Suites will not be permitted lake cards.
Why are we doing it, why this way, and why now?
Over the last several years, particularly during the pandemic, it has become apparent that the Association's membership rules do not adequately reflect the wide variety of living arrangements within the neighbourhood.
This initiative is intended to foster a greater sense of community for those that reside in the community of Lake Bonavista that do not fit into the traditional definitions of Senior and Junior members.
Associate memberships will start to be implemented in mid July
