SWIMMING & BEACHES

Swimming opens in the Spring as soon as the water is warm enough and remains open throughout the Summer. 

We have two beach areas at Lake Bonavista, North Beach and South Beach.

The North Beach runs alongside the Boat Docks and boasts the following:

• One large floating dock 
• Boat docks and rentals
• Boat launch
• Picnic Tables

The South Beach is located at the far end of the park. and can be accessed easily through the South Acadia Gate during swimming season. This beach area includes:

• Two floating docks
• Two large, covered areas
• Picnic tables and briquette BBQs 
• Washrooms and foot wash
• Beach volleyball net

Marker buoys will be established off beach areas to define restricted zones! No watercraft are permitted between beaches and markers! These are swimming areas only!

Water quality is tested weekly during swimming season.
