Lake Bonavista Homeowners Association Ltd. is a private park in the community of Lake Bonavista and accessible by membership only! Homeowners MUST have their name and our Encumbrance listed on their land title to qualify for membership. Membership is mandatory for all LBHA Encumbrance properties!
Once you have taken possession of your new home, AND received your land title, AND updated your government issued photo ID, you may easily and quickly apply for your LBHA membership(s).
Please Note
- There are absolutely no exceptions to the land title and photo ID requirements! You MUST have these in order to apply for your membership!
- Current processing times per the Land Titles website can be found here

Property Exclusions:
- Bonavista Downs residents and Condo residents are not eligible for membership!
- Secondary suites residents are also not eligible for membership!
Traditional Membership Application Process:
- Apply at the Lake Office, no appointment required.
- Homeowners must complete a membership application.
- Any outstanding fees MUST be paid in full before membership cards will be issued!
- Must be the land title holder/homeowner of a qualifying Lake Bonavista address!
- If you do not yet have your land title you will need to wait until you receive it before you can apply for your LBHA membership(s).
- Homeowners must provide a copy of the land title and corresponding government issued photo ID!
- Corresponding government issued photo ID must also be provided for all eligible 18+ members. See eligibility requirements below.
- Homeowners children MUST reside at the title address!
- All approved applicants MUST have photos taken for membership cards.
Traditional Membership Eligibility Requirements:
- MUST be a homeowner with our LBHA encumbrance listed on the land title!
- Be a spouse or common-law partner of a title holder/homeowner
- Be the unmarried children of a title holder/homeowner
- Be a parent of a title holder/homeowner (limit of one per household)
- Be a renter living in the home *AND the homeowner gives up their access!
- The encumbrance property MUST be the primary residence of all 18+ eligible applicants AND they must provide government issued photo ID for confirmation upon registration and annually thereafter!
Associate Membership

Renter Memberships:
- For renters to qualify for membership, homeowners must give up their own access AND provide written consent to be kept on file.
- In addition to homeowner consent, renters must provide a copy of their lease AND government issued photo ID confirming the encumbrance address before membership will be approved and cards issued.
- Lease information will be required annually to renew membership(s).
- Primary/Senior renter memberships based on number of homeowners on title (maximum of 2).
Lost or Damaged Membership Cards:
- Replacement cards are issued at the lake office.
- Proper government issued ID must be provided when required.
- A $5.00 fee will be charged for replacement of cards issued within the last 5 years.
- Card replacement is free for cards issued more than 5 years ago.
